In 2023, in the quiet hills of Migori County, a young man named Ong'era Daniel made a decision that would change dozens of lives. He had no donor cheques, no grants, no board of directors behind him — only the raw fire of compassion and a conviction that one person, fully committed, can be the beginning of everything.
He began by opening his own home. Then the neighbourhood began to notice. Then a community rallied. Slowly, like dawn breaking over the Migori plains, what started as a single act of love became Ong'era Brethren International Foundation — a campus of hope housing orphaned children, educating day scholars, and feeding hundreds of hungry mouths every single month.
Daniel's story is a testament that the seeds of greatness are not sown by wealth, but by audacious, stubborn, beautiful love. Today, the foundation carries his name and his spirit — proof that one person who refuses to look away can light a thousand futures.
The Journey So Far
2023 — The Spark
Founded Solo, From Nothing
With no funding, only passion and faith, Daniel opened the doors of what would become a home for Kenya's most vulnerable children.
2023 — First Roof
30+ Orphans Welcomed
The first resident orphans arrived — children with nowhere to go found a home, warm meals, and a man who refused to turn them away.
2024 — Education Wing
170+ Day Scholars Enrolled
The community responded. Day scholars from Migori began arriving, and an education program took root — a school born from a dream.
2025 — Global Reach
International Foundation Status
The world began to listen. Donors from across the globe joined Daniel's mission — turning one man's passion into an international family of change-makers.
